The Guildhall Jazz Singers have produced a wealth of great performers – think Cleveland Watkiss, Stacy Kent, Omar, Christine Tobin, Natalie Williams, Luca Manning – and the current group is one of the best. Directed by Scott Stroman, the 8 close-harmony voices and their band are about to release recordings of music by Paul Simon and Duncan Lamont, and their vibrant set references Singers Unlimited, New York Voices, and the Swingles.
