Ray Carless & Club Skaaville Allstars – Windrush Celebration Jazz Party
Back in 2018 Jamaican born saxophonist and band leader Ray Carless recruited the cream of musicians well versed in the language of Jamaican and Caribbean music to play what they call Windrush Celebration jazz, incorporating the Jamaican classics that the Windrush generation knows and enjoys into Carless’ jazz foundation with an infusion of Ska, Reggae, Rock Steady and Blue Beat.

Don’t be surprised to find Carless playing with Cleveland Watkiss’ Great Jamaican Songbook or Cymande, the epic 70’s Nyah Funk band. Cymande is going as strong as ever selling out 2 or 3 nights at Ronnie Scott’s regularly since their reunion in 2014,
Last year Carless was approached by the legendary Skatalites and since then he’s toured with them in Spain, France, Finland as well as the UK.
Club Skaaville Allstars is a predominantly instrumental band but on this occasion they will be featuring a couple of guest vocalists for this seasonal WINDRUSH JAZZ PARTY. Expect a wonderful night of entertaining Jamaican Jazz Ska & Reggae from this superb combo.
