About
Trumpeter/composer Sean Gibbs leads a big band featuring some of the UK’s leading jazz musicians. This will be their first gig following their critically acclaimed album Confluence, released with Ubuntu Music in November 2022. Drawing on experience from past commissions for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Greater Manchester Jazz Orchestra, Sean’s writing is steeped in the jazz tradition and characterised by lyrical melodies, hearty grooves and a deep connection to the blues.
