Tales From The Undertow

Inspired by the folk tradition of storytelling through music, Tales From The Undertow is an exciting new project involving Anatole Muster (accordion), singer Immy Churchill (vocals), pianist Scottie Thompson (piano) and Matthew Berrill (clarinet). United in their love of classic songwriters and traditional folk music, they present a fresh and inspired take on the repertoire of musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Fred Hersch, Pat Metheny and James Taylor. Original compositions reflecting these styles will also be featured, framed by this novel combination of instruments. Their unique sound and approach sets them apart; creating an intimate evening that celebrates the power of storytelling through improvisation and lyrics.
