What is the latest definition of the term “jazz”? Many of the brand leaders/venues for jazz are now running much broader-based programming. It could be that the term ‘jazz’ has evolved or that they are programming less because it’s one of the few ways that jazz clubs can survive. Which is it? Does it matter?
