We welcome back the World Music Big Band lead by Ian Bumstead on Tenor sax and featuring Alison Rayner on bass and Mark Huggett on drums.
The World Music Big Band is an exciting ensemble that plays an inspiring blend of rhythmic and melodic music, featuring jazz, African and Latin grooves. Repertoire includes works by Abdullah Ibrahim, Dudu Pukwana, Ebo Taylor, the Buena Vista Social Club, Mulatu Astatke, McCoy Tyner, Fela Kuti, Zakes Nkozi, Eddie Harris and Pharoah Sanders.
