About

Two singer songwriters join Matthew Herd to perform in the round as part of our intimate, late night series. This month features Immy Churchill and Arun Thavasothy.

Immy Churchill

Immy Churchill is a jazz singer and singer-songwriter studying at The Royal Academy Of Music. Her influences range from Ella Fitzgerald and Norma Winstone to James Taylor and Joni Mitchell, giving her a unique sound that embraces not only the lyrical quality of singing but the joys of singing wordlessly. Although she is already making her way onto the jazz scene as a vocalist, her individual voice as a songwriter is beginning to emerge and she looks forward to eventually releasing her debut album next year. Her writing influences range from Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Nick Drake and Madison Cunningham.

Arun Thavasothy

Arun Thavasothy is a singer, songwriter and guitarist whose music appeals to the kid in all of us. With a love for direct lyricism and infectious melodies, his songs leave you feeling warm and understood.
