This year for the EFG London Jazz Festival, the Vortex Jazz Club are hosting a series of late night shows featuring some of the most exciting up-and-coming artists in the UK.
Following Toni Kofi and the Organisation, Jas Kayser invites the ‘Chums’ for an evening of Afro-beat inspired grooves blended with jazz-influenced harmony and contagious horn lines, with a refreshing take on African vocal harmonies. Formed of an international collective of musicians from around the globe such as, Belgium, Israel, Panama, US and UK, Jas & Chums is led by the drummer and composer, Jas Kayser, from the UK.
The project explores the common ground between progressive jazz, and soulful, afro-beat led rhythms and is set to cement her credentials as one of the leading forces behind the resurgence of jazz-influenced sounds in the UK and US.
