Onyx Brass quintet launch their album, Onyx Noir, which features 12 new works from 12 greats, including Gwilym Simcock, Kenny Wheeler and Liam Noble. It shows how imaginatively musicians officially classified as ‘jazz’ can create music for more classical groups.
On the night, the band are joined by a purer jazz group of Laurence Cottle, Trish Clowes Jason Rebello and Ian Thomas, who will play their own set.
