The Shape of Jazz To Come presents: Renell Shaw Fore

A quartet centred around bassist and composer Renell Shaw exploring the

intersection between soundtrack like arrangements and improvised expression.

Renell will be debuting songs and compositions from his up and coming album “Self Study Self”.

Expect melodic bass lines, thought provoking poetry and a fusion of Jazz sensibility with Hip-Hop honesty.

Renell Shaw has collaborated, recorded and toured alongside artists such as: Rudimental, Nitin Sawhney, Maverick Sabre, Mr Jukes, Aloe Blacc, Speech Debelle and Carleen Anderson amongst others.

Internationally acclaimed drummer and composer Kaz Rodriguez has played with everybody from Jessie Ware and Sinead Harnett to The Disciples and Cirque du Soleil. Currentley playing with Josh Groban, Kaz has been an influence to drummers all around the world from his drum-less albums. He has written tracks for the likes of Chris Coleman, Aaron Spears, Robert “Sput” Searight, and many more.

Flutebox (beat boxing through the flute while playing it at the same time) pioneer Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee is an explosive blend of Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk and Eastern melodies. Nathan has collaborated live and in the studio with legendary artists including: The Prodigy, Asian Dub Foun-dation, Plan B and The Roots to name a few.

Guitarist Michael Antoniou has a broad resume with the most notable credit being ‘Composer and Performer on Rihanna’s Grammy Award winning album – Unapologetic’. Michael’s Guitar playing style has been described as fusion of Blues, Rock and Mediterranean influences.
