About:
Zoe Francis (vocals), met multi award-winning guitarist Jim Mullen in 2013, they have recorded and toured 4 albums together, including album “The Very Thought of You” recorded live at 606 club. Zoe Francis vocal journey began in New York, attending the weekly workshops of Barry Harris, and jam sessions throughout Manhatten, Brooklyn and Harlem, performing with musicians including Harry Allen, Harry Whittaker, Joe Cohn.
Jim Mullen also spent some time in New York, touring the USA several times. He has recorded and toured the globe with artists including Brian Auger, AWB, Gene Harris, Mose Allison, Terry Callier, Jimmy Smith, Kokomo, Frank Wess, Herbie Mann, Georgie Fame, Robert Palmer, Claire Martin. Jim shared a 15 year partnership with UK saxophonist Dick Morrissey, in much loved band Morrissey Mullen throughout the late 70’s/80’s.
Much in demand Ross Stanley (organ), is also an accomplished pianist/composer. Known for his flowing creativity and lyrical phrasing. Working with misicians including Bobby Wellins, Nigel Price, Trish Clowes, Dennis Rollins, Stan Sulzman.
Tonights trio have recorded and toured 2 albums together, “Blue Town” & more recently “Somewhere in The Night”. The combination of Zoe’s warm, beautiful voice, Jim’s blues drenched melodic lines, and Ross’s rich layers of harmonic sound, add a fresh take on a great choice of classic songs!
