About

Come and hear the great improvisers of the future share their talent in a programme led by Moss Freed and Academy alumnus Chris Williams. This programme represents the culmination of workshops with this special group of Royal Academy of Music students, connected by a keen interest in delving deeper into individual expression and exploring collaborative forms of real-time music-making.

The group’s playing journey will take in works from a range of forward-thinking contemporary composers including: Cornelius Cardew, Joseph Kurdika, and Christian Wolff, as well as celebrating the vibrant London improv scene with works by Barry Guy, Cath Roberts, and Matt London; culminating in a bespoke collection of pieces for the night’s programme.
