About
Join us for an evocative evening of traditional and cross-cultural melodies with Suna Alan, a Kurdish Alevi singer whose voice carries the spirit of her ancestral heritage and the cosmopolitan soul of her upbringing. Now based in London, Suna’s artistry is deeply rooted in Kurdish traditions, while her repertoire gracefully spans Armenian, Greek, Arabic, Sephardic, and Turkish folk music.
Suna’s work has resonated far beyond the Kurdish community. Featured in Brush & Bow’s Women Role Models Project, she has brought her powerful storytelling and musicality to stages such as the Southbank Centre and Royal Albert Hall, where she performed with the Solidarity Ensemble in support of Turkey and Syria earthquake survivors. In 2024, she was the featured artist at TEDxKings Parade St in Cambridge, delivering a transformative solo performance.
Suna has performed across the UK and Europe, weaving together ancient traditions and modern diasporic narratives. Her concerts are more than performances — they are intimate acts of remembrance and cultural connection.
Come and experience the depth and beauty of Kurdish music in a heartfelt concert that transcends borders and celebrates shared humanity.
