Known for ‘Nudging boundaries as she goes’ and ‘raw and striking vocals’ Italian singer and storyteller Germana Stella La Sorsa’s innovative style has found the perfect partner in internationally renowned British guitarist Tom Ollendorff, starting a collaboration envisioned as a celebration of the beauty of simplicity.
Working together since 2022, Ollendorff’s highly distinctive sound and virtuosic technique elegantly blends with La Sorsa’s ‘poetically interpretive singing’ and sophisticated vocal skills in the duo’s first release “After Hours” (33 Jazz Records).
The new record – a small but stunning collection of inspired arrangements of legendary songs and originals – pays homage to well-known composers and songwriters from a wide spectrum including Brazilian composer Pixinguinha and The Beatles.
