London based Brazilian born guitarist and composer Filipe Monteiro, whose music combines his South American roots with the creativity of jazz, is an exciting adventure of musical styles opened to collective improvisation. The Filipe Monteiro Quintet is composed by Sam Leak on piano, Tim Thornton on acoustic bass, Chris Draper on drums and features the internationally renowned saxophone player, Paul Booth. The quintet will be performing Filipe’s most recent compositions in combination with the music from his debut album, In Bad Company.
