Sam Hogarth combines a deep love of the jazz repertoire with a fresh approach to harmonisation that is evident in his original compositions. His influences include modern greats such as Chick Corea and Norma Winstone and more tradition-rooted players like Bill Charlap and Dick Hyman, but also range back as far as Teddy Wilson and Fats Waller.
