Donate and help us keep bringing more live streams!
All funds raised will be split evenly between the club and the musicians involved.
This Saturday 16th May from 8PM BST, we are thrilled to broadcast a video replay of Aaron Park’s Little Big performance at the Vortex back in 2018. The performance will be followed by an online Q&A with Aaron Parks and our very own programmer, Kim Macari. So tune in, grab a drink and join the Vortex community for an amazing evening of music!
Little Big is pianist Aaron Parks latest project, debuted in 2018 with members Greg Tuohey (guitar), DJ Ginyard (electric bass) and Tommy Crane (drums). All musicians bring in their experiences not only from jazz or improvised music but also electronica, R&B, indie pop, alt-country, and much more.
Since closing our doors to the public on the 17th March, we have been getting together a programme of events to keep showcasing the best jazz and improvised music from across the UK and the world. To make sure we can keep broadcasting performances, we need your help. We realise that there is a lot of uncertainty about the coming months, but if you’re in a position to support us, then please consider making a donation of £3-5 per gig: bit.ly/3cGtpto
Your donations will play a vital role in keeping music alive across the world. As venues shut globally and with your support, our club will be part of a new movement; bringing you inspiring live-streamed concerts, connecting you with the work of amazing musicians, and keeping The Vortex community going strong.
Together we can come together through music – helping reduce social isolation through these difficult times.
