Girl Plays Jazz Project Introduction to Jazz workshop for girls aged 8 to 16 years. The girls learn to play different styles including swing, funk and free jazz, with the support of a professional jazz band, culminating in a showcase performance. Minimum 2 years tuition on instrument/voice required, but no experience in improvisation needed. For more details and to register to take part, please see www.girlplaysjazz.org.uk.
There will be a workshop followed by a performance which is free, and open to the public.
