HOGCALLIN’

Hogcallin’ explore the musical legacy of Charles Mingus –  using  improvisation and spontaneity  to expand and rework arrangements of his tunes. With 4 horns, the powerhouse rhythm section of Edwards and Noble, and the upfront vocals of Helen Mcdonald this band lights up the room.

DAVE JAGO, Trombone.The Bollywood Band.Billy Jenkins’ Voice of God Collective,Helen and the Horns,The Rawhides,The Happy End,The Flavel Bambi Septet.

ADRIAN NORTHOVER, Alto Sax. The Remote Viewers,The London Improviser’s Orchestra, Jazz Thali

SARHA MOORE, Baritone Sax .The Bollywood Brass Band,Millennium Dome Street Band, is also playing with Bollywood Brass Band, Yiddish Music Hall group Katsha’nes and York’s Streetband. She is a doctor of Ethnomusicology specialising in the flat second and has played with Ghanaian band Orchestre Jazira and the Happy End big band.

SUE LYNCH,Tenor Sax and flute.Sue Lynch co.runs The Horse Improvised Music Club with Adam Bohman at IKLECTIK Art Lab and is a member of Helen McDonald’s Future Groove, Sudanese band The Scorpios and The Remote Viewers.
