Vocalist Juliet Kelly, trumpeter Yazz Ahmed and pianist Naadia Sherrif get together to explore standards from their diverse perspectives.

Juliet Kelly is one of UK jazz’s hidden treasures. Gifted with a beautiful, expressive voice, she is also a talented, highly original songwriter who draws on a diverse set of influences and has performed with the likes of Courtney Pine, Seb Rochford and Talvin Singh. Her latest album, Spellbound Stories, is a set of songs based on her favourite novels. Trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Yazz Ahmed is a gifted performer who draws inspiration from her love of post-bop jazz and her Middle Eastern heritage. Since leaving school she has worked with many artists, including Toshiko Akiyoshi, Rufus Reid and Lee “Scratch” Perry. In 2017 she delivered her critically acclaimed sophomore solo album, Saboteuse released on Naim Records. A Graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in both Classical and Jazz piano, Naadia Sheriff works as a performer, teacher and musical director. She is currently Musical Director for singer Kate Dimbleby whose latest show is a biopic of singer Dory Previn. The album ‘Beware of Young Girls’ released to accompany it reached no. 3 in the iTunes Jazz chart.
