SAM WATTS BAND – ALBUM LAUNCH

Sam Watt was born in Birmingham in 1989, he studied at Leeds College of Music before continuing his studies at the Royal Academy of Music with a scholarship. He graduated with distinction in 2013, also winning the Humphrey Lyttleton prize. He has performed professionally with Ray Warleigh, Abram Wilson, Iain Ballamy, Dave Cliff and Zhenya Strigalev amongst many others and regularly performs across the U.K and abroad, including a 2011 CD release with successful Portuguese vocalist Mila Dores. He recently performed at the BBC proms Late series which was broadcast on radio 3, and also at venues across London, including the Wigmore Hall, the Forge in Camden, the 606 Club, Pizza Express Soho and The Vortex jazz club.

Sam writes: “I’m excited to announce that my first album “Mime Music” is being launched on the SPARK Label on 7th of July 2017 at The Vortex Jazz Club in Gillett Square! It has been a long time in the making, come along and join the celebration, where we will perform music from the album as well as other music from New Orleans, Brazil and beyond!”
