Trumpeter Alexandra Ridout has received many awards and accolades, most recently: USA Laurie Frink Career Grant 2022, ‘Best Soloist’ at the ‘Keep an Eye International Jazz Awards 2023 and was awarded 2nd place at the prestious Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Competition 2023.

Alexandra Ridout also received the BBC Young Musician Jazz Award 2016, British Jazz Awards ‘Rising Star’ 2018.
In 2019 named one of ‘London’s Most Influential People’ under 25, Parliamentary Jazz Awards nominee 2020.

Alexandra’s exquisite playing is sought out by many revered international musicians. Alexandra’s recent worldwide touring highlights include: Renee Rosnes’ Blue Note signed Artemis, Orlando Le Fleming’s ‘Romantic Funk’, Dayna Stephen’s ‘Custom Deluxe’, Jochen Rueckert quartet, Arturo O’Farrill’s Grammy winning Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra. Featured artist with Pablo Held.

She appeared twice in the 2018 BBC Proms and was a featured performer/ composer in the International Festival of New Trumpet Music in New York in 2022. She recently bought her new sextet to Jazz Gallery in NYC.

Award-winning New Zealand Jazz artist, Hamish Smith, flows with rhythmic inventiveness and a unique groove-centric approach. He has been described by NEA (National Endowment Award ) Jazz Master, Todd Barkan, as “a modern marvel – one of the great young bassists in the world.”

Now resident of New York, Hamish has quickly become a highly sought-after musician, whose career highlights include tours and/or recordings with an astonishing list of artists including Paquito D’Rivera, Miguel Zenon, Yosvany Terry, Dayna Stephens, Magos Herrera, Michael Rodriguez, Diego Urcola, Benito González, Elio Villafranca, Rotem Sivan and The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. Hamish also leads and composes for his own quintet, featuring some of the most innovative voices in jazz today.

Hamish and Alexandra can be seen performing together in NYC in Dayna Stephens’ group ‘Custom Deluxe’.

 

Tal Kalman was selected to participate in the prestigious Brubeck Institute Fellowship program, becoming the first Israeli to achieve this distinction and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music.
Tal has numerous awards and recognitions, including the DownBeat award for best soloist, the DownBeat award for best arrangement, the Israeli Conservatory Scholarship Competition, and many others. He has graced renowned stages worldwide, including the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Dizzy’s Club in New York, Théâtre du Gymnase Marie Bell in Paris, the Rex in Toronto, the Monterey Jazz Festival in California, and the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat, among many others.
