The John Bennett Band is a 15 piece jazz ensemble. The music is structured whilst also allowing for interplay between the musicians.
John describes the band as not a “ big band “ as such, but rather a large jazz ensemble partly inspired by early New Orleans jazz – King Oliver,Armstrong, and later Gil Evans, Miles Davis , Mingus, and Monk, to name but a few.
