December is a Christmas-free zone for the LJO as it features music by director Scott Stroman and Kenny Wheeler, plus new music from Tori Freestone, Alcyona Mick and others. Featured players this month include trumpets Noel Langley and Henry Lowther, saxes Martin Speake and Pete Hurt, Alcyona Mick on piano, and Nick Costley-White on guitar.
