Trumpeter/composer Sean Gibbs leads a big band featuring some of the UK’s most prominent jazz musicians. They will be performing new material alongside music from their critically acclaimed album Confluence, which was nominated for Best Album at the 2023 Scottish Jazz Awards. Drawing on experience from past commissions for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Greater Manchester Jazz Orchestra, Sean’s writing is steeped in the jazz tradition and characterised by lyrical melodies, hearty grooves and a deep connection to the blues.
