from the mind of pianist/composer olly chalk, comes ‘to smithereens!’ an assembly of five of the most unique emerging voices from within the london improvised music scene.
with intricate song-writing at it’s core, chalk’s compositions are a gathering of curious fragments, a combination of vivid, cinematic themes and deeply imaginative improvising. the music is innovative, other-worldly and warmly heartfelt.
having recently recorded (due for release 2023), this refreshing line-up is looking forward to exploring this new music together in a live setting.
