Our weekly discussions continue with a return to the subject of streaming.
In 10 weeks since lockdown, streaming of music live has changed and grown up dramatically. To a much more curated show. We are now at the stage where we must consider how this might continue beyond. What sort of world will it look like as audiences reappear? Will it just drift back to the former world, or how do we graft this on to our powerful live experience?
While some countries already have live concerts, even then they are still a shadow of what they could be. So streaming of live gigs by venues such as the Vortex may have a role.
Where next?
But what? Pay per view, subscription, donation, free?
Our discussions are very open and freewheeling. Participation of all sorts, including artists, fans, promoters and labels.
