Due to an accidental flooding, we sadly won’t be ready to reopen our upstairs doors from tomorrow as originally planned.
It will probably take us a few days to assess the damage and set a new reopening date. We will keep you posted as soon as we can. In the meantime, most performances will be able to carry on in our downstairs bar.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope we will be able to reopen our upstairs venue very soon.
Thanks for your support and understanding.
The Vortex team
We have some exciting news to share with you! Our main upstairs space is about to embark on a refurbishment journey for the whole month of April in order to get some long-awaited and much-deserved tender loving care. Thanks to DCMS & Arts Council CRF funds, we’ll soon be able to welcome you in a more comfortable and accessible space.
As a result, we’ll be moving all our activities (gigs, rehearsals, etc.) in April to our downstairs bar area and we have some fantastic gigs coming your way including: Ben Somers Quartet, James Kitchman Quartet, David Austin Grey “Hologram Maze”, Phemo Quartet, Harry Christelis & Pedro Velasco, Barry Green Quartet, UK jazz supergroup Outfront, PigFoot and more to be announced shortly!
Booking process remains unchanged but please note that our downstairs space has a more limited capacity so if you really want to see a specific performance we strongly advise you to book it in advance!
Looking forward to seeing you soon and to welcoming you back upstairs from early May!
