Energy, thoughtfulness, groove and imagination anchored by leading Belgian drummer Teun Verbruggen, a visitor here regularly with BOAT, Flat Earth Society and more.Collaborators with the band have frequently included Sylvain Darrifourcq and Robin Fincker, two of our old friends here at the Vortex!

Hyper+ is a recent trio interested in a research on timbres and sound, on new techniques of improvisation, using new rhythmic and melodic elements and playing acoustic instruments with effects and much more.
In this “music lab” Nicola Fazzini, Alessandro Fedrigo and Luca Colussi developed a creative vocabulary that they apply to both original pieces and standards.
François Houle is a leading improvising clarintteist who gave a memorable performance here at the Vortex with Alexander Hawkins last Autumn.
